JIVANAYATRA, which means the pilgrimage of life, will be an expression of the sacred journey of our life from childhood to godhood, depicted through the medium of classical dances of India.  You will experience the many different dance styles blended with a musical ensemble to deliver the message of an ideal life leading to the ultimate goal of Self realization.

Five dancers from Chinmaya Mission will be combining their talents to create a spiritual offering that will transport you to a higher state of awareness.  They will be matched by a wonderful team of south and north Indian classical music by Babu Parameswaran, Sudakshina Alagia, Jyotiprakas on Tabla, Radhakrishnan Ramachandran on Flute and other musicians. 

This event is a fundraiser for Chinmaya Jyoti – Chinmaya Institute of Spiritual and Cultural Studies- which will come up in Poway over the next few years.  Besides being a place of learning, it will also be a place to achieve mental tranquility through prayer and meditation.
