Hindu Chaplaincy in Chinmaya Mission

Announcement by Pujya Swami Swaroopanandaji on August 3, 2021
on Hindu Chaplaincy in Chinmaya Mission

“On this auspicious day of Gurudev’s Mahasamadhi, I am happy to announce the launch of a new program that strives to fulfill another important need of the Hindu community. This program is the training of Hindu Chaplains, otherwise called as Spiritual  Care Providers. Chaplains can serve the Chinmaya family as well as the larger community by helping people who are facing challenges such as illness and loss. Chaplains can also serve as spiritual ambassadors in colleges, schools, and interfaith forums.

“Chinmaya Vishwavidyapeeth, our Chinmaya University, is launching a Certificate in Hindu Chaplaincy programme, starting with the Introduction to Chaplaincy course, in January 2022. Chinmaya Mission centers can encourage their members who have a strong spiritual foundation and practice to take this online course in January. It will give the initial preparation to serve your community in meaningful and versatile ways. For more information about the course, see the flyer below.” — Pujya Swami Swaroopananda
