Priya Narthakii

Driven by her focus and passion for all things Guru, Priya Narthakii has dedicated her heart, mind, body and life to helping people create unstoppable lives through choice not chance. As a Certified Mindset Mastery Coach (BBC – Board Certified Coach) and Certified Yoga Instructor (RYT-200) she combines both disciplines to create a unique yoga experience that is clear and effective in deepening the spiritual connections that are critical to daily life while opening the body to flexibility and strength.

Priya’s exposure to yoga began through her mother Uma Suresh to deepen her dance training. As a seasoned Bharathanatyam dancer of over 35 years Priya has experienced the profound benefits of a yoga practice for not only her body but also her mind. In 2010, one year after the birth of her son Sahanav, she decided to leave her successful corporate life and re-focus her energy and contribution to work that deepens the understanding of the mind, body and spirit. To support this she completed her Yoga Teacher Training in the Anusara Hatha Yoga style under Kathy Simonik owner of the Pulsation Yoga in Illinois (RYT 200) as well as her Mindset Mastery Coaching through the Robbins-Madanes Institute (a division of the Tony Robbins organization) and then started her company Happyastic.  

In 2013, Priya conducted her first complete From the Mat to What Matters 5-Day Happyastic Yoga Intensive Workshop at the invitation of her aunt Ramaa Bharadvaj (Vision Director -Dance) at Chinmaya Vibhooti – Chinmaya Naada Bindu Gurukula at Kolwan (near Pune) at which time her book The Breath Bath: 4 Steps to Breathe Your Way to the Ultimate Makeover was blessed by Swami Tejomayananda and launched in India. She is now authoring the book Inspired Indian Parenting: Raising Happy, Successful and Balanced Indian Kids in America set to be launched in 2020.

She is also the talk radio host of the podcast Yoga Mat Optional, founder of the group Inspired Indian Parenting on Facebook and the co-creator of Sumi-rrific: Bollywood Inspired Dance Fitness for Adults with Downsyndrome, a charitable initiative created in honor of her brother (Sumanth Suresh, 1985-2013).

Priya shares her time leading Happyastic, coaching, teaching and practicing yoga, creating art, interior decorating, reading, writing, and spending time with her two children and husband and always finding new and unique ways of serving Guru.
