Talks on Shrimadbhagavatam

CMSD presents Talks on Shrimadbhagavatam on Wednesdays starting March 20, 2019

Date: Wednesdays starting March 20, 2019
Time: 7:30 PM – 9:00 PM

Shrimad Bhagavatam, one of the most inspiring and enthralling devotional scriptures of ancient India, needs no introduction. It brilliantly expounds the nature of God, describes the lives of His devotees and in the process provides invaluable insights into how one is to lead life and cultivate devotion to Him.

A composition of Shri Veda Vyasa, the Bhagavatam prescribes four indispensable values for a noble and peaceful life, namely: Dharma (righteousness), Bhakti (devotion), Jnana(knowledge), and Vairagya (dispassion). The instruction is imparted in the form of dialogue between Maharishi Shukadeva – the guru, and King Parikshit – the disciple.

All are invited to attend. While it is not necessary to have the book for class, you may bring along the text if you have a copy.
